Denny F. Weakland, 90, Ebensburg, formerly of Carrolltown passed away May 15, 2020 at Kinney’s Meadowview Estates. He was born February 19, 1930 in Spangler, the son of Fred D. and Marie T. (Harrigan) Weakland. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by cousins Joe Ashcroft, Tyrone; Ron Ashcroft, State College; Danny (Jane) Ashcroft; Warriors Mark. He attended St. Francis College and served as a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a self-employed mechanic repairing International Harvester and Farmall Equipment. Denny was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown; life member of Carrolltown American Legion Fox Peale Post 506 and Dark Hollow Hunting Club. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, going to the mountains in Clinton County and spending time outdoors. At Denny’s request there will be no visitation. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
