August 23, 1939-October 22, 2026
Bernard W. Farabaugh ,87, Carrolltown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at his residence. He was born in Carrolltown, the son of the late Leo and Hilda (Westrick) Farabaugh.
On July 16, 1960 he married Muriel (Weinzierl) Farabaugh.
Bernard is survived by two children, Tina Farabaugh of Carlisle and Joseph (Monica) Farabaugh of Carrolltown; brothers: Ken (Norma) Farabaugh of Carrolltown, Girard (Jean) Farabaugh of Carrolltown; sisters: Barbara Kelly of Gettysburg, Janet Tibbott of Northern Cambria, Kathryn (Roger) Duman of Ebensburg; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernard was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Donald and a brother in law, Pat Kelly.
Bernard was a dedicated farmer for 66 years. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Bernard enjoyed golfing and playing cards.
Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, PA 15722, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held in the Boniface Wimmer Room of St. Benedict Catholic Church from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Church, Fr. Michael Gabler, O.S.B. celebrant.
Committal will be held at St. Benedict Cemetery, Carrolltown.
