Obituary For Edward J. Farabaugh
Edward J. Farabaugh, 62, Carrolltown, passed away November 21, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1962 in Spangler the son of Clarence and Mary Leona (Seymour) Farabaugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Dolores (Schrift) Farabaugh and sister-in-law Philomena Farabaugh. He is survived by his brothers and sisters JoAnn Farabaugh, Ebensburg; Carol (Joseph) Paddock, Tuscon, AZ; William Farabaugh; Susan (Zane) Bianucci, Ebensburg; John Farabaugh; Patrick (Cheryl) Farabaugh, Carrolltown; Theresa (Todd) Daisley, Northern Cambria; Julie (Todd) Hershbine, Port Matilda; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Kathy Sherry and Monica Ponchock. Ed was employed by the Blind and Handicapped Association in Ebensburg for 41 years. He loved and enjoyed his job and all the people he worked with. He was a member of St. Benedict Church, Carrolltown attending Mass weekly with Kathy sometimes riding to church in her Mustang convertible. Another of his enjoyments was riding his four wheeler and hanging out at Himmel’s Farm and Truck garage with all the guys. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 N. Main St. Carrolltown where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held Tuesday in the Boniface Wimmer Room at St. Benedict Church, Carrolltown from 9 am until the 10 am funeral Mass at the church. Rev. Michael Gabler O.S.B. celebrant. Interment, church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Heart Association.
