Obituary For Eileen R. Buck

Eileen R. Buck, 74, Ebensburg, formerly of Carrolltown, passed away June 29, 2022 at Amber Hills at Cambria Care Center. She was born March 22, 1948 in Colver, the daughter of Norbert and Caroline Ruth (Lieb) Kirsch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David L. Buck, sisters Grace Harvey and Anne Bernard. She is survived by children: Jackie (Brandon) Holtz, Patton; Janice Merlina, Economy; Janine (Keith) Hoover, Cresson; grandchildren: Allison, Nicole, Austin, Trent, Rebecca, Karson, James and Luke; brother and sisters Jane Andrukanis, Camilla (Dave) Gomish, Sonny (Cindy Buck) Kirsch, Sue (Paul) Dillon, Christine Kirsch and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Eileen was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. At Eileen’s request, there will be no viewing. Instead, please raise your glasses and remember the fun-loving Eileen we knew and loved. Funeral Mass 10:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB. Committal church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the National Alzheimer’s Association www.act.alz.org/donate. The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Hills and Windber Hospice for their excellent care. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Carrolltown.     Very sorry to hear about Eileen's passing. She was so much fun. I remember when I bowled with her at the Carrolltown Fireman's bowling alley. She always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh! Jane (Buck) LaMagna.
