Obituary For Eric A. Bender

Eric A. Bender, 43, Carrolltown, passed away June 19, 2023. He was born April 18, 1980 in Altoona, the son of Larry and Betty Ann (Glinsky) Bender. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John M. and Nellie M. Glinsky; paternal grandparents, William F. and Rita H. Bender; Aunt, Maureen Hartle; Uncle, Joel Colberg and Cousin, Jeff Cramer. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Mark Bender and fiancé Lindsay Brescia, Elmora; nephew, Mason Bender and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was a 1998 graduate of Cambria Heights High School and was currently employed in Health Services. He was a member of Cambrian Hills Golf Course, Hastings. Eric enjoyed shooting sports, golfing and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family and friends will be received 2-4 pm Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held in the Boniface Wimmer Room Tuesday from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB. Really sad to hear this. Never forget when I was down, Eric was there. He was a great friend growing up together and I was lucky enough to have him as a friend as a adult. There was always a party when we got together. To many stories to tell, probably best I don't. I will will definitely miss Eric. I hope you finally found peace brother. Cheers.
