Obituary For Irene Hanyok
Irene Hanyok, 89, Ebensburg, formerly of Carrolltown passed away November 15, 2020 at Amber Hills Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. She was born March 27, 1931 in Colver, PA, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Senitchka) Selko. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Hanyok; daughter-in-law Lorraine (Muscavitch) Hanyok; and sisters Mary Rubish, Marge McGovern and Helen Stoyka. She is survived by children John Hanyok, Roaming Shores, OH; Tom (Barb Baker) Hanyok, Huddleston, VA; Rick (Mary Alice Davis) Hanyok, Dysart; and Diane (Clay) Kirsch, Carrolltown; grandchildren Mandy (Dan) Noda, Heather (Pat Jurco) Hanyok, Laura (Paul) Keyser, Angela (Chad) Hanyok-Rainey, Liza (Tim) Hanyok Bell, Maggie (Ron) Sherry, Luke (Jessica) Hanyok, Caleb (Mary) Hanyok, Brandon (Lindsey) Kirsch, Jacob (Sabrina) Kirsch, great grandchildren Piper Noda, Charlotte, Makenna and Maci Bell, Urban and Quinn Sherry, Oliver, Oakley, Atticus and Anais Hanyok, Coraline Hanyok-Rainey, Ian and Elliot Kirsch, and her loving sister, Ann (Nick) Wahna, Stow, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked with her husband at Johnny’s Supermarket in Carrolltown and then later worked at Ebensburg floral for many years until she retired. Irene’s family was the joy of her life. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially loved taking her family to the beach at Sea Isle City, NJ. Due to Covid-19 there will be no viewing. A private family funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine by Fr. Jerzy Auguscik O.F.M. Committal will be at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Irene’s memory to St. Augustine Church or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
