Obituary For Joan R. Yeckley

Joan R. Yeckley, 91, Carrolltown, passed away March 17, 2024 at home. She was born May 23, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Cleadia (Stich) Farabaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Eugene Yeckley, whom she married June 3, 1950; daughters, Melinda Stevens, Sharon Fees; grandchildren, Marek Yeckley and Jared Yeckley, great grandchild, Kaine, brothers and sisters: John Stich, Raymond Stich, Thomas Stich, Blanch Nachtman, Rita Clever and Jenevive Copperman. She is survived by her loving children: Diane (Charles) Ertter, Ebensburg; Daniel (Diane) Yeckley, Hummelstown; Mark Yeckley, Carrolltown; Susan Dubetsky, Hastings; Scott Yeckley, Carrolltown; Joan (Beno) Bogus, Carrolltown; Raymond (Tammi) Yeckley, Carrolltown; Lee Ann (Rob) Berringer, Virginia; grandchildren: Emily Sclesky, John Fees, Jr. “Nutsy”, James Stevens, Mark Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Nathan Ertter, Kayla Ubaque, Karlee Mayer, Carly Yeckley, Brenan Yeckley, Lucas Yeckley, Brian Borruto, Leah Macura, Jessey Borruto, Jermey Borruto, Madison, Steven Yeckley, Kristi Trybus, Keith Bogus, Alexis Kelly, Cameron Yeckley, Cole Yeckley, Brock, Noah, Macy Berringer; great grandchildren: Isaac, Joseph, Riley Sclesky; Jordan, John, Joshua Fees; Christian, Caleb Stevens; Mark Stevens; Kennedy, Kane, Kash Ertter; Mateo Ubaque; Ruelynn, Luke, Silas, Kingston Yeckley; Hunter, Aidan Yeckley; Dominic Donahue; Gino Borruto; Kaeley Lentz, Vincent, Maria Burruto; Anthony, Nicholas Burruto; Taylor, Ally Trybus; Quinnlyn, Finley Kelly; Myla Yeckley; great great grandchildren: Leroy, Kennedy, Easton, Elle Mae, Aria and Brooklyn. She was a graduate 1950 graduate of Carrolltown High School and retired from Joan’s Apparel after 15 years of service. Joan was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, Carrolltown American Legion Post 506, Carrolltown Fire Club, Rembrandt Club, Bakerton Rod and Gun Club and St. Benedict VFW Post 7783. She enjoyed her family, pets (Annabelle, Willow and Chloe), volunteering at the St. Benedict Catholic Church and St. Vincent DePaul. Family and friends will be received Thursday, 4:00-8:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, Pa 15722, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held Friday in the Boniface Wimmer Room of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown from 9 am until the 10 am funeral Mass at the church, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB. Interment church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Humane Society of Cambria County at 743 Galleria Extension, Johnstown, Pa 15904 or www.humanecambria.org.
