I grew up in Northern Cambria and was a friend of Lauries. My last name was Babiak back then. I met her when I dated Steve Yasick. He and John Shook were friends. John lived up the road from Steve. I worked a waitress job at a restaurant in Ebensburg with Laurie. I believed it was called Porkys at that time then became Laurel Lounge. She was always a fun upbeat person. We are the same age and I was just thrown to see her name in the paper today. . You have my deepest sympathy. My heart is so sad. My prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time.
