Mary “Marze” C. Springer, 82, Carrolltown, passed away June 22, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 2, 1942 in Munster Township, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Shaw) Freidhof. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. Springer, whom she married January 30, 1965; brothers, Henry, Tom, Paul “Kutch”, George “Worm”, Raymond “Goob”; sisters, Margaret “Peg” and Ethel “Tillie”. She is survived by children: Brian Springer (Joan Fox), Carrolltown; Eric (Ronda) Springer, Clymer and Karen (Ray) Kelly, Carrolltown; sisters: Hazel “Sal” Wirfel; twins, Janet (John), Knapp and Jane Kiel; Dorothy “Doat” (Regis) Lee; sister-in-law, Jane Freidhof; brother-in- law, Jim Gailey and numerous nieces and nephews. She previously employed at the Ebensburg Shirt Factory and then spent her life as a loving, wife and mother. Mary was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. She enjoyed gardening and babysitting. At Mary’s request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass 10:00 am, Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB.
