Neil A. Sharbaugh, 65, passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Spangler on April 7, 1960, the son of Dr. Donald Sharbaugh (known as Doc Sharbaugh) and Anne (Martin) Sharbaugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Amy (Sharbaugh) Wagner; a brother, Scott Sharbaugh; nephew, Mark Sharbaugh and beloved dog, Drago.

Neil is survived by his children: Dr. Neil Sharbaugh (Dr. Alexa Larson), Annie Sharbaugh and Jake Sharbaugh; as well as former wife and long-term business partner, Barbie Shero Sharbaugh; his brother, Don “Shaver” Sharbaugh (Sara); his sister, Nina Berardinelli (Nelson); niece, Emma Snyder (Eric); nephews: Andy Sharbaugh (Britta), Nelson Berardinelli and Dom Berardinelli; along with many other family members.

Throughout his life, Neil was a respected, hard-working, and personable man. Often called “the life of the party,” Neil enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and loved ones.

In addition to his family and his kids, his greatest pride lives on in the pharmacy he co-owned with Barbie. He was often found behind the counter of the pharmacy and kept a large stock of lollipops for his youngest customers and dog treats for his furry friends.

Neil enjoyed a playful game of darts, weekends at camp with his brother, Shave, and making sure his car(s) were in tip-top shape. He spent many years riding around on his motorcycle and eventually, go-karts with Neil, Annie and Jake.

With an infectious laugh and generous spirit, Neil touched the lives of many in the small town he grew up and lived in.
