Paul G. “Mustard” Passarella, 71, Carrolltown, passed away April 2, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 2, 1952 in Spangler, the son of John and Kathryn (Macko) Passarella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Markovich. He is survived by his sister, Carol Holtz, Northern Cambria; Donald (Cheryl A. Thomas) Passarella, Ebensburg; Martin (Darlene Kirkpatrick) Passarella, Carrolltown and several nieces and nephews. He was a 1970 graduate of Cambria Heights High School. He served in the U.S. Army reserves. He worked UMWA construction and later at Laurel Crest before retiring from Garvey Manor as a CNA. Paul was a member of the Carrolltown American Legion Post 506 and the Carrolltown Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed gambling, fishing and softball. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB. Interment church cemetery.
