Obituary For Rosalie M. Bogus
Rosalie M. Bogus, 91, of Carrolltown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 2, 2024. She was born March 4, 1933 in Ginter, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Salapata) Patkalitsky. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, James E. Bogus, five sisters and five brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by children: James (Mary Jo) Bogus, Debbie (Edwin) Hoover, Sharon (Dick) Clark, Butch (Laura) Bogus, Rose (Jeff) Koss and Linda (Frank) Stossel, grandchildren: Jim (Melissa), Sabrina, Ty (Kelsi) Bogus, Chad (Carrie), Matt (Allyson), David (Lyda) and Sara Hoover, Jamie (Will) Hoffman, Richard (Crystal) Houseman, Leah (Roman) Bender, Cody and Layne Bogus, Lynsey Bodek (Joe Woo) and Danielle (Joel) Polites, Taylor and Shane Stossel; great grandchildren: Grayson, Adalyn, Mackenzie, Kamryn, Quinzel, Liam, Miles, Nolan; step grandchildren: Blaine, Samantha, Serena, Jace, Summer, Bobby, Brandie, Brayden, Claire and Harper. Rosalie was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Rose and her husband where owners of the Bogus and Sons Mink Farm. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family and faith first. Family and friends will be received 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Additional visitation will be held in the Boniface Wimmer Room of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral Mass Monday, April 8, 2024 at the church, by Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB. Interment church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to 365 Hospice staff for their care, compassion and support during our time of need. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the St. Benedict Altar Rosary Society, Carrolltown, Pa.
