Ruth H. Switzler, 87, Carrolltown, passed away July 5, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 13, 1932 in Thomas Mills, Pa, the daughter of Oscar and Helen (Martin) Drass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald J. Switzler. She is survived by her children Thomas D. (Tina Quinn) Switzler, Melbourne, FL; Juliana R. (Daniel) Stevens, Carrolltown; Victoria R. (James) Tinnick, Carrolltown; grandchildren David Switzler; Caitlyn Switzler (Scott); James Tinnick, II (Theresa); Sara Tinnick (Jay); Maritsa Mitarnowski (Stephen); Annie Scuglia (Nick) and great grandson Ollie; sister Delores Shatrosky; brother Ken Drass; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a Patton High School graduate and spent her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Ruth loved all her dogs and cats, her iPad, and the serenity of her farm. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc. 146 North Main Street Carrolltown, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass 10:00 am Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, by Rev. Jude W. Brady, OSB. Committal church cemetery.
